News coming out of Screen Daily today announces that The Exchange has acquired worldwide sales rights to the recently announced action-thriller Section Eight which reunites Adkins and Lundgren onscreen for a fifth time. The movie, which also stars Ryan Kwanten, is being helmed by Christian Sesma (Every Last One of Them) and recently finished shooting.
The film was co-penned by producer/writer Chad Law (Daylight’s End) and filmmaker Josh Ridgway (Howlers) who both have a proven track record in indie action cinema. The Exchange will be bringing Section Eight to the American Film Market for sales to distributors during the first week of November.
This will be the fifth time that Adkins and Lundgren will go toe to toe as the two action heavyweights have tangled in the past action movies The Expendables 2, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, and Legendary and will also engage in combat in the upcoming Castle Falls which is currently in post production.
Starring in the movie along with Adkins and Lundgren is Ryan Kwanten who starred in the hit HBO series True Blood as well as the 2018 thriller The Hurricane Heist.
Adkins will next be seen in the one take, real time actioner One Shot which hits VOD on November 5th. Adkins is currently filming John Wick: Chapter 4 and recently wrapped filming on the Netflix action-horror film The Day Shift alongside Jamie Fox.
Lundgren is currently filming the highly anticipated fourth Expendables film and is also ready to appear once again in the DC sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom with Jason Momoa.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come on Section Eight as we are your destination for everything action!
