When you say that you have a movie that’ll star both Brad Pitt and George Clooney which is being helmed by Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts then chances are, a lot of film companies are going to want to be the one to put it out.
So goes the bidding war for the as yet to be titled thriller that’ll star both Clooney and Pitt. Those in contention included the usual suspects in Netflix, Amazon, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros. Pictures to just name a few but when the dust settled, Apple Studios was the one left standing. The deal is also saying that a theatrical release is in the cards to go along streaming on Apple+ and this’ll be the first film that stars both Hollywood A listers since they both appeared together 13 years ago in The Coen Brothers’ 2008 black comedy crime pic Burn After Reading.

Plot details and further casting are being held under lock and key right now but it is being reported that the thriller will involve both Clooney and Pitt playing lone wolf fixers who unfortunately get tasked with the same mission.
Watts will also be producing the film and he penned the script as well. Clooney will produce through his Smokehouse Pictures banner while Pitt will produce as well via his Plan B Entertainment banner.
Not that this is a shock but sources are saying that Clooney and Pitt will be making eight figures each for the movie so here’s hoping it’s worth it.
This will be Watts’ first non Marvel related project after working on the Spider-Man films for the past six years and he is also set to do the planned Fantastic 4 reboot for the MCU.
