Between work and life, I’m still catching up on all the great reveals yesterday during the Netflix TUDUM event and it looks like fans of The Witcher with Henry Cavill were treated to some killer new footage from the upcoming sophomore season. The new episodes drop this December so wet your appetite with all that was unleashed yesterday!

To make it even sweeter for fans of the show and the original source material, Netflix has already renewed The Witcher for a third season even before the second one debuts on December 17th.

Cavill returns as monster hunter Geralt of Rivia along with Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Joey Batey as Jaskier, and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir.

An Anime prequel hit titled Nightmare of the Wolf which introduced viewers to a new character that will be featured heavily in live action during the second season.

In addition to all that, Netflix is currently making a live action prequel series named The Witcher: Blood Origin which takes place long before the Anime.

Official Synopsis:

“Set in an elven world 1,200 years before the world of The Witcher: Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time—the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal in ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.”

Blood Origins stars Sophia Brown, Laurence O’Fuarain and the iconic martial arts legend herself Michelle Yeoh. There is no concrete release date for that one but they did drop a BTS video for it yesterday as well.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action!
