The Bruce Willis hits keep on coming and this time around we have some news on a film called Vendetta which sounded interesting as Willis is playing a bad guy this time around. Deadline is reporting that the film which was helmed by Jared Cohn (The Horde) was recently acquired by Redbox Entertainment.

Willis stars along with a pretty impressive cast which also includes Clive Standen, (Vikings, Taken TV series) Thomas Jane, Theo Rossi and former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson. To go along with the announcement, we have a first look image that shows Willis and Rossi in a scene from the film.

Official Synopsis: “When his daughter is murdered, William Duncan (Standen) takes the law into his own hands, setting out on a quest for retribution. After killing the street thug responsible for her death, he finds himself in the middle of a war with the thug’s brother (Rossi), father (Willis), and their gang, who are equally hell-bent on getting even. What ensues is a tense back-and-forth game of vengeance. By the end, William comes to find that the quest for revenge never has a winner.”

Galen Smith, the CEO of Redbox made an official statement about acquiring the film and what it brings to the table.

“We’re always on the lookout for films that have engrossing storylines and casts that will bring those stories to life. Vendetta has all those elements and it will have audiences on the edge of their seats when it premieres next year.”

It’s hit or miss when it comes to Willis and how involved he is in these films but like I’ve said it’ll be interesting to see him on the other side of the spectrum as he’s been known for his heroic roles. The supporting cast is solid and Jane elevates anything that he’s in with his gravitas and brooding mannerisms.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more details as Vendetta is due to hit sometime next year with a day and date theatrical and VOD release.
