Aquaman’s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has his next project waiting in the wings and he’s in good company as Dwayne Johnson will produce with Beau Flynn the new action-thriller Emergency Contact. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news and Yahya will also executive produce as well.
Johnson will produce via his Seven Bucks Production banner along with Hiram Garcia, and Dany Garcia with Warner Bros. serving as the film company.
Per THR: Details of the pitch are being kept hidden in a studio panic room, but Emergency is described as being a high-concept, high-octane action film set amid the underground music scene in Austin, Texas.
Abdul-Mateen is on the rise in Hollywood with the actor also starring in the high profile Warner Bros. movies The Matrix 4 and Candyman due out later in the year. He will also star in Furiosa from Warner Bros. and will reprise his role of Black Manta in Aquaman 2.
