There’s no denying that stunt maestro turned action film maestro Jesse V. Johnson isn’t one of the top action directors working today. Johnson has parlayed a fruitful career in the stunt world into an even more lucrative one as a filmmaker and recently has seen his most success working with action star Scott Adkins in films like The Debt Collector 1 & 2, Triple Threat and Accident Man.
Johnson’s latest doesn’t have him teaming up with Adkins this time but he is still working with some top tier names in the industry with the likes of Olga Kurylenko, Michael Rooker and the one and only Bruce Willis who it seems is in every movie currently in production.

Word coming out of The Hollywood Reporter is bringing the 411 that Johnson is currently helming a new thriller titled White Elephant which features the aforementioned trio of stars. Production is now underway in Georgia and The Exchange is handling international sales for the movie.
Per THR: Rooker stars as Gabriel Tancredi, an ex-marine-turned-mob enforcer who must battle his conscience and code of honor when he is forced to help clean up a botched assassination job by his protégé, Carl.
Willis plays Arnold, the top man in the mob. Kurylenko plays Vanessa, a cop that has been trying for years to bring down Arnold and his crime syndicate, and teams up with Gabriel to do so.

Johnson wrote the script along with Erik Martinez. Corey Large of 308 Enterprises who also produced Cosmic Sin with Willis and Frank Grillo is producing once again and The Exchange will introduce the movie to potential buyers at next month’s virtual Cannes Film Festival.
