I’ve been on vacation the last week and now that I’m back, I’m slowly catching up on all things action. Here’s a nice little BTS image from the upcoming Netflix Action/Horror/Comedy Day Shift which stars Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dog, Dave Franco and action star Scott Adkins. Principal photography is getting underway for the flick so check out Foxx, Adkins and crew ready for the shit to hit the fan!

Adkins shared the image of himself and his fellow cast members on Twitter with the awesome caption: “The carnage is about to begin on Day Shift with @iamjamiefoxx @stevehowey #davefranco #vampitehunters #action #comedy #horror”

Day Shift sees Jamie Foxx play a hard working blue collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters. (Per THR)

The ensemble cast also includes Dave Franco, Meagan Good, Karla Souza, Eric Lange and Zion Broadnax along with Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Oliver Masucci, Steve Howey and C.S. Lee and the movie will be the directorial debut of veteran stunt professional, martial arts expert and fight choreographer J.J. Perry.

Perry has featured in countless movies and TV series and he has most recently worked as a second unit director and stunt coordinator for the hit movies Bloodshot, The Fate of the Furious and the John Wick franchise. He is definitely an action maestro and it’s great to see him finally helping a movie with this much star power.

From the above image, it looks like Adkins is battle ready so hopefully he’ll be utilized and his particular set of skills will be on display in a sizable role in this one. With action maestro Perry helming, I’m sure he’ll give Adkins his much overdo spotlight.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more on Day Shift as we are your destination for everything action!
