Amazon Developing a GI JOE Standalone Series Centered on Lady Jaye!

While we wait for Snake-Eyes: GI Joe Origins to finally hit theaters this October after being delayed due to the pandemic, we’ve got some newer info for you centering on the covert operative of the group code named Lady Jaye.

The character, who was last portrayed in GI Joe: Retaliation by actress Adrianne Palicki, will be the focus of a new Amazon series which will be standalone but will connect to the much larger in scale GI JOE universe.

Per Deadline: Erik Oleson, the showrunner and executive producer of the upcoming second season of Amazon’s Legendary-produced Carnival Row, will create and showrun the series and will exec produce alongside Lorenzo DiBonaventura.

Oleson was an executive producer and showrunner on the third season of Netflix and Marvel’s Daredevil series and The new series will hail from Paramount Television Studios, eOne and Skydance Television.

Lady Jaye first appeared in the animated Joe cartoon in 1984 and later made it into the comics in 1985. She is described as the team’s covert operations specialist.

There is no word on who will play Jaye in the series but expect casting news to come down in the future.
