Well just after a few days of posting that the new Gerard Butler Has Fallen Film would be tentatively titled Night Has Fallen, Millennium Media has made it official with a press release confirming the news and also confirmed that Butler is indeed coming back. After all, you can’t have one of these films without the OG Mike Banning! Read the goods below!

The Fourth Installment in the Successful Box-Office Franchise Unites Butler with Director Ric Roman Waugh and Screenwriter Robert Kamen

Millennium Media announced today that it will produce NIGHT HAS FALLEN, the fourth installment in the successful box-office Fallen series starring Gerard Butler. The film will reunite Butler with the ANGEL HAS FALLEN creative team, with Robert Kamen returning to pen the script along with Ric Roman Waugh set to direct. Producers are G-BASE’s Alan Siegel and Gerard Butler, Eclectic Picture’s Heidi Jo Markel, Les Weldon and Millennium Media’s Jeffrey Greenstein, Jonathan Yunger, and Yariv Lerner. Executive Producers on behalf of Millennium Media are Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman of Campbell Grobman Films.

In NIGHT HAS FALLEN, Butler returns as Mike Banning. The franchise has been a huge box office success world-wide and is one of many successful franchises that Millennium has produced. Other Millennium Media-produced franchises include The Expendables, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and Mechanic films. NIGHT HAS FALLEN will be filmed at Millennium Media’s Nu Boyana Studios in Bulgaria and throughout Europe.

“The Has Fallen journey continues and we couldn’t be more excited to take on the challenge of building on this beloved franchise with our dear friends Alan Siegel and Gerard Butler. These films are not driven just by action, but by the special characters and relationships of Mike Banning and his friends, family, and foes. We look forward to teaming back up again with Angel Has Fallen’s Ric Roman Waugh to captivate audiences worldwide on another journey full of these touching and fun character moments, as well as unique and heightened action, and a dark turn of events that will send this next installment down a wildly unexpected trajectory,” said Jeffrey Greenstein, President of Millennium Media.

With the new title of Night Has Fallen, it will certainly be interesting to see what Banning gets into this time. The last movie left him in a good place with reconnecting with his father played by Nick Nolte so we shall see what is ahead for the action hero.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action! In the meantime, watch Banning take ‘em down in the finale of Angel has Fallen!
