The folks over at Asian Film Strike have just unleshed a new poster for an upcoming military action pic titled Career as a Mercenary which stars Max Zhang from Master Z: Ip Man Legacy, Escape Plan: The Extractors and The Brink. Ever since starring with Donnie Yen in Ip Man 3, Zhang has been on a roll the last few years deivering some high caliber action films and now it looks like he will be enlisting for a new military style actioner from director Michael Chiang who makes his debut with the film. Check out the new teaser one sheets for the 2021 release below!

Plot details are scarce for the time being but judging from the new poster, Zhang and company look locked and loaded for a rumble. Zhang stars along with Aarif Lee (Bruce Lee, My Brother) and Jiang Luxia (Double World).

Jackie Chan was attached to produce the movie with Liu Ye at one time but things changed however and Zhang is now headling the new film which is currently filming with an estimated release scheduled for next year. Chiang is best known for wrting the Singapore film Army Daze (1996) and is now helming the movie which looks like it will be right in my wheelhouse.
