By: John M Jerva

Just a few weeks after the announcement that the all star martial arts sci-fi epic Jiu Jitsu is locked and loaded for a November 20th release, we now have an official look at star Nicolas Cage from the film. Cage who is a black belt in BJJ is finally getting the chance to make a full on martial arts epic and check him out and ready for battle below!

Jiu-Jitsu is set up as “a new Sci-Fi Martial Arts franchise from Dimitri Logothetis, Director/Producer of Kickboxer: Retaliation” and the official synopsis reads: Every six years, an ancient order of expert Jiu Jitsu fighters faces a vicious alien in a battle to protect Earth. For thousands of years, the fighters that protect Earth have played by the rules…until now. When celebrated war hero Jake Barnes (Moussi) is defeated by Brax, the Alien invader, the future of humanity hangs in the balance. Injured and suffering from amnesia, Jake is rescued by Wylie (Cage), Keung (Jaa), Harrigan (Grillo) and his team of fellow Jiu Jitsu fighters. They must help Jake to regain his strength in order to band together and defeat Brax in an epic battle that will once again determine the fate of mankind.

The film, based on the comic of the same name, will see a release on November 20th. Dimitri Logothetis, who helmed Kickboxer: Retaliation which also starred Moussi, directs here as well from a script he co-wrote with Jim McGrath.

Cage stars along with Kickboxer franchise star Alain Moussi, Frank Grillo, JuJu Chan and martial arts legend Tony Jaa.

Also starting in the film are Rick Yune from the original The Fast And The Furious and Olympus Has Fallenas well as Marie Avgeropoulos, James P. Bennett, Ryan Tarran and Marrese Crump and this film is certainly shaping up to deliver the goods and I can’t wait to see the first footage when the trailer hits soon. It certainly bodes well that Moussi, Cage, Grillo and Jaa are all fighting on the same team. Expect maximum damage on this one from this all-star action team!

Jiu Jitsu is set to hit select cinemas, Digital and VOD on November 20th so expect a trailer to drop soon!
