Heralded as Arizona’s Filmmaker of the Year and LA Times’ “prolific genre filmmaker,” Brian Skiba has had a pretty solid career with numerous family and holiday films under his belt. Now, Skiba has branched out to one of the genres he loves the best…the action genre. With the release of his newest project, The 2nd starring Shooter’s Ryan Phillippe, which is a bad ass throwback to the heydays of the 80’s and 90’s, Skiba is proving that he has what it takes to shoot action, compliment the genre and can play with the big boys.

Brian took the time out of his busy schedule and stopped by The Action Fix Podcast to talk about the film, working with Phillippe and Casper Van Dien and shooting practical action sequences that pay homage to the golden VHS era. The 2nd is now playing on Digital and VOD and it is a real treat for genre fans who are craving old school action in this day and age when CGI films run rampant in the cinemas.
