I have to admit that I’m a big fan of the original Deep Blue Sea which starred Thomas Jane, Saffron Burrows, LL COOL J and Samuel L. Jackson. The film which featured a battle of wills with a horde of super sharks was very exhilarating and seeing it in the cinema was a bonus.

With that, I have not seen the second film as of this writing but I am excited for the third outing Deep Blue Sea 3 as it stars one of my favorites in Bren Foster. Even though this looks like a role without fight scenes from the Australian martial arts ace, I’m still jazzed to see what he’ll bring to the table.

The film will hit Digital next week on July 28th followed by a Blu-Ray, DVD rollout on August 25th. Helmed by John Pogue, the threequel also stars Nathaniel Buzolic, and Emerson Brooks.

A trio of clips for the movie has just dropped giving us more of a view of what to expect from the follow up and you can check them out below!

Emma Collins, an eminent marine biologist, and her crew have set up a mid-ocean laboratory over a sunken island town in the ocean where they are observing the first known Great White mating area. Unfortunately, the enhanced Bull Sharks that escaped in Deep Blue Sea 2 are also there with their own evolutionary goal: cross-breeding with the bigger faster Great Whites. The mission’s patron, Richard Lowell, believes that the Bull Sharks contain the key to intelligence enhancement, which he secretly intends to sell for big profits. Now, Emma and her crew are trapped on crumbling stilt houses mere feet over the ocean, caught between predators above and below the water.
