Well it was up in the air a little bit when Cinemax announced that it would stop producing original dramas on the pay service but it does indeed look like we will get our second season of the hit martial arts drama Warrior which features Andrew Koji (GI JOE Origins: Snake Eyes) in the lead role of Ah Sahm who is a martial arts dynamo who migrated to the US from China.

Cinemax recently dropped a new teaser that offers fans a brief look at the insane action awaiting them when the sophomore season hits later this year and you can check it out below!

Warrior is a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the second half of the 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who immigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances, and becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown’s most powerful tongs (Chinese organized crime family).

The series also stars Olivia Cheng as Ah Toy, Jason Tobin as Young Jun, Dianne Doan as Mai Ling, Kieran Bew as Officer O’Hara, Dean S. Jagger as Dan Leary, Joanna Vanderham as Penelope Blake, Tom Weston-Jones as Richard Lee, Hoon Lee as Wang Chao, Joe Taslim as Li Yong, Langley Kirkwood as Walter Buckley and Christian McKay as Mayor Samuel Blake.

The new promo also delivers first looks at two other dramas hitting Cinemax later including C.B. Strike: Lethal White and the South African thriller Trackers.

Release dates are pending but at least fans can know that a new season is definitely on the way and it looks epic as expected.
