Just two days after it was announced at the European Film Market in Berlin that action heavyweights Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren are ready to engage in mortal combat once again in the new action-thriller Castle Falls, we now have a brand new and shiny teaser poster which features both stars! Check out the goods below!
The new film which was just announced via The Hollywood Reporter two days ago will see Adkins play “Mike, a struggling fighter forced to take on a foreman job at a local condominium that is set to be demolished. With just eight hours before the building, strapped with dynamite, is destroyed, two vicious local gangs, one led by Shea (Lundgren), break in to retrieve millions of dollars stowed away in one of the apartments. When Mike stumbles across the money, a game of cat and mouse ensues.”
Now this is just a preliminary teaser poster to wet the appetities of the film companies at the EFM and the images of Adkins and Lundgren are taken from other films but it still is just enough to get any sensible action fan excited for this film.
Adkins and Lundgren have starred on screen together three other times in Legendary, Expendables 2 and, of course, Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning where the two engaged in one hell of a fisticuffs fueled scene which featured some high caliber action choreography. Hopefully we will get a rematch just like that one in this movie but unfortunately, we have a long wait to see the finished product as it is in pre-production.
The film will commence principal photoagraphy next month in Alabama with VMI Worldwide launching the epic sounding flick in Berlin this week for potential buyers and VMI CEO Andre Relis was raving about the future action flick while talking about the two action stars teaming up again. “This combo with action stars Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins is just what the buyers are looking for, and we are excited to be working with Dolph again,”
Relis will produce alongside Lundgren’s longtime manager Craig Baumgarten via Wonder Street Productions. Lundgren will helm the film as well which will mark his seventh time directing an action film.
Lundgren was also quoted in the article saying: “Great to be back directing again. Looking forward to working with Scott Adkins for the fourth time. Excited to produce with my old friend Craig Baumgarten. Castle Falls is an entertaining script with hardcore action, great characters and an emotional center of transformation and compassion.”
