The Hollywood Reporter is bringing some major news in that Jason Statham and Kevin Hart are in talks to reunite for Sony’s upcoming action-comedy titled Man From Toronto. The two stars recently were seen together in last summer’s Hobbs and Shaw.
Per THR: The story uses a case of a mistaken identity as its jumping off point after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the Man from Toronto, and a New York City screw-up run into each other at an Airbnb. A clash of personalities, and a clash with deadly killers, ensues.

Patrick Hughes, who directed the Ryan Reynolds-Samuel L. Jackson flick Hitman’s Bodyguard, will helm the project from a script written by Robbie Fox from a story by Fox and Jason Blumenthal who is also producing and interestingly enough Sony is eyeing a November 20th release for this year with production slated for March which doesn’t give them a lot of time to make the film so we shall see how that ends up.

Sony is looking to capture action-comedy gold with Statham and Hart just like their other projects Hobbs and Shaw and Central Intelligence. I think this is a great matchup with Hart’s energy and Statham’s more stoic presence.
