The Vietnam war has been and will always be one of the darkest periods in America history and eveb though the waritself was an ugly page of history that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the heroes that fought and died on the battlefield.
This is the premise of the true story of Airman William (“Pits”) Pitsenbarger who gave everyhting he had including his life to rescue 60 soldiers he didn’t even know during one of the bloodiest battles of the war.
The true story is the basiis for a new war drama called The Last Full Measure which features an all-star cast including the MCU’s Sebastian Stan as well as William Hurt, Christopher Plummer, Ed Harris and Samuel L. Jackson. Jeremy Irvine also stars as Pitsenbarger who recieved the Medal Of Honor posthumously which is the highest honor a soldier can receive only after one man fought the system to make it happen.

Helmed by Todd Robinson from a script he also wrote, the movie also stars Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli, Diane Ladd and the late Peter Fonda in one of his last roles.
This is a great story of one of history’s greatest warheroes and the film is a true testament to what bravey really is. The Last Full Measure is now playing nationwide.
