Donnie Yen is certainly the man of the hour as his latest and supposed last Kung Fu epic Ip Man 4: The Finale is gaining countless praise from critics and audiences worldwide. The film which signals the end of the glorious franchise is set to be Yen’s last endeavor in the Kung Fu genre as he is aiming to focus on more mainstream action pics. If this is his swan song with the sub genre that made him a star then he is definitely going out on top.

Well Go USA has widened the film’s release this past weekend in theaters in the U.S. and Canada but fans are already looking towards the future with the inevitable Blu-Ray release. Well, fear not because the release date has already been confirmed for April and the film will hit the shelves in the standard Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack!

Martial Arts master, Donnie Yen is back for the of the Ip Man Universe franchise in Ip Man 4: The Finale, directed by Wilson Yip.

Ip Man’s life remains unchanged after his wife’s death, but he and his son are slowly drifting apart. To seek a better future for his son, Ip Man decides to travel to the U.S. only to find the stable, peaceful life abroad is only skin deep. Underneath lies a deep rooted racial discrimination that is far worse than he has expected. Ip Man re-examines his position and ponders on the reason he took up martial arts in the beginning.

Joining Yen for the epic finale is none other than action star Scott Adkins who takes on the master in an already classic fisticuffs filled scene. Rounding out the cast are Chris Collins, Vanness Wu and Danny Chan Kwok-kwan who reprises his role of Bruce Lee.

The film is set to hit Blu-Ray on April 21st and you can already pre-order it now from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0833XNHNH/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0833XNHNH&linkCode=as2&tag=cionfiascire-20&linkId=db82bb9e146e44339ee7c816c5354400
