Today is a red letter day in the streaming service wars as Disney has officially thrown their hat into the ring with the launch of Disney+. Today genre fans are feasting on all things Disney, Star Wars, Pixar and Marvel with the truck load of content available on the new service.
One anticipated original series to peek fan interest is the new MCU limited series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier which sees Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) returning to their roles originated in the blockbuster films.
The show won’t premiere until late next year but we have our first look at the stars new look as well as co-stars Daniel Bruhl, Emily VanCamp, and Wyatt Russell. Bruhl will be reprising his role of Baron Zemo as well as VanCamp as Sharon Carter. New addition Wyatt Russell will be playing USAgent/John Walker and you can see them all in the new images below!
Filming on the show started last month in Atlanta, Georgia and the limited series will run six episodes with the premiere set for late 2020.
I was excited for the show before but I am even more excited for it now with the release of these fantastic new images. The reveal comes courtesy of a new Marvel documentary titled Marvel Studios: Expanding The Universe that dropped with the service today and fan reach has been off the charts.
Hopefully with production underway, we will have more goodies like first footage in the near future. Until then, keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come!
