It’s been a hot minute since it was announced that action star Jason Statham was re-teaming with Guy Ritchie, the Director who put him on the map. Their new action-thriller, titled Cash Truck, is now on the fast truck and Deadline is reporting that MGM has acquired the rights for distribution via this week’s American Film Market.
MGM will release the film through their through their UA Releasing domestically.
Per Deadline: Scott Eastwood, Holt McCallanay, Jeffrey Donovan, Laz Alonso and Josh Hartnett will also act in the pic, which is revenge story that shifts across timelines and between various character’s perspectives. At the center is H (Statham), a cold and mysterious character who works at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.

Ritchie and Statham worked together on the classic gangster flicks Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch which is how fans first got to know The Stath before he went on to to be a future action hall of famer.
Cash Truck is a remake of a French thriller named Le Convoyeur which was released in 2004.
To know me is to know that I’m a huge fan of Statham and this film looks like it’ll be kick ass as usual but with a switch as Ritchie is a master storyteller. What also is intriguing is that reports are saying that this will be a different role for Statham so we will see what transpires but as long as he’s as cool as ever and kicks the appropriate amount of Ass, I’ll be happy.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more 411 on Statham and Cash Truck!
