Once again, to prove that Frank Grillo is indeed the hardest working actor in Hollywood, we have another exciting new title to talk about today with the announcement of the exciting western Hell On The Border, in which Grillo stars as a deadly outlaw who tangles with the first black Marshal of the West played by David Gyasi. The film is set to hit select theaters and VOD in December and we have the brand new one sheetand trailer for you below!
David Gyasi, Frank Grillo and Ron Perlman star in the epic Western Hell on the Border, coming to select theaters and On Demand Friday, December 13 from Lionsgate.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS This epic, action-packed Western tells the incredible true story of Bass Reeves (David Gyasi), the first black marshal in the Wild West. Having escaped from slavery after the Civil War, he arrives in Arkansas seeking a job with the law. To prove himself, he must hunt down a deadly outlaw (Frank Grillo) with the help of a grizzled journeyman (Ron Perlman). As he chases the criminal deeper into the Cherokee Nation, Reeves must not only dodge bullets, but severe discrimination in hopes of earning his star—and cement his place as a cowboy legend.
Grillo is one of those few actors who can do it all including playing the anti-hero to perfection along with switching it up and turning in a ruthless performance as the villain. Grillo brings a slam bang gravitas to all his performances and when you add great character actor Ron Pearlman to the mix, then you have cinematic gold.
