I’m a huge fan of war movies and growing up, I was all about Vietnam era films which highlighted those brave men who gave up the ultimate sacrifice for their country. There’s a new entry in that genre as Danger Close from Director Kriv Stenders is ready to hit select venues and Digital next month. I already did a post earlier for it but now I have some nifty new pics from the distributor to show off so check it out below.
Written by Stuart Beattie (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and directed by Kriv Stenders (Red Dog), the film stars Travis Fimmel (Warcraft: The Beginning), Luke Bracey (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Daniel Webber (TV’s “The Punisher”), Alexander England (Alien: Covenant), Aaron Glenane (TV’s “Picnic at Hanging Rock”), Nicholas Hamilton (It), Myles Pollard (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Matt Doran (The Matrix), with Anthony Hayes (Animal Kingdom), and Richard Roxburgh (Moulin Rouge!).
In DANGER CLOSE, Major Harry Smith (Travis Fimmel) and his company of 108 young and inexperienced Australian and New Zealand soldiers are fighting for their lives in the Battle of Long tan. With 2,500 battle-hardened Viet Cong soldiers closing in, their ammunition running out and casualties mounting, each man searches for the strength to triumph over an uncertain future with honor, decency and courage.
I will be checking this one out shortly so watch out for my analysis of it. Does it muster up to the greats like Platoon and Hamburger Hill? We shall see. Check out the trailer directly below and check out more exclusive images below!
