Netflix has just dropped the new trailer for their upcoming action-thriller 6 Underground which hails from director Michael Bay and starring Deadpool himself Ryan Reynolds.

The trailer does show off some pretty kick ass new footage and the plot consists of “Six billionaires fake their own deaths and form an elite vigilante squad in order to take down notorious criminals.” The rest of the cast joining Reynolds includes Dave Franco (Now You See Me, The Disaster Artist), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven, Sicario: Day Of The Soldado), Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Triple Frontier), Corey Hawkins (Kong: Skull Island, BlacKkKlansman), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse), Lior Raz (Fauda), Mélanie Laurent (Operation Finale) and Payman Maadi (13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi).

We do know from the trailer that Reynolds is the leader of the elite team of bad asses that are taking the law into their own hands and it certainly has Bay’s signature excitement with some pretty breathtaking action set pieces. There’s no denying Netflix is really bringing their A game in action and this one and Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead with Dave Bautista really has me looking forward to the future.

This marks the first collaboration for both Bay and Reynolds for Netflix and it also is the first event level feature film for both Skydance Media and Netflix although the two companies have joined forces in the past for the series Altered Carbon and Grace and Frankie.

6 Underground is being set for release on Netflix on December 13th which is three days after my birthday to be exact. Check out the new trailer below and watch Reynolds in action with a lot of explosions and insane stunts courtesy of Michael Bay!
