When you take a first look at Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk, you wouldn’t think he would be able to pull off a full on John Wick style action lead but that’s exactly what he’s going to do in the upcoming action-thriller Nobody which sees Odenkirk play a normal, ordinary man who is pushed to his violent limits.

According to Variety who posted about the new flick: “The Universal pic follows Hutch Mansell (Odenkirk), a suburban dad, overlooked husband, nothing neighbor — a “nobody.”

When two thieves break into his home one night, Hutch’s unknown long-simmering rage is ignited and propels him on a brutal path that will uncover dark secrets he fought to leave behind.

“Hardcore Henry” director Ilya Naishuller will helm with “John Wick” scribe Derek Kolstad penning the script.“

So basically you have John Wick creator David Leitch producing along with his wife Kelly McCormick via their 87North Banner and who have John Wick writer Derek Kolstad penning this script as well so it’s safe to say that we are in store for some John Wick style carnage and mayhem with some bullet ballet action set pieces.

I love the idea of casting Odenkirk in the lead role as he is someone you don’t think of for these types of roles but that’s the whole point as an everyday man is pushed too far and becomes an instrument of death and destruction. Sign me up!

Nobody is scheduled to hit theaters next year on August 14th and I can’t wait to see Odenkirk go all old school kick ass on the bad guys John Wick style! Keep it locked and loaded right here for more of Nobody!
