Terminator: Dark Fate is the latest entry in the blockbuster franchise and with the latest trailer that dropped a few weeks back, it looks like franchise creator James Cameron, who came on board to produce and over see the making of the film, has steered the boat in the right direction and with both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton joining forces on screen for the first time since T2, it looks like fans are about to get the film they have finally been waiting for. This one follows directly after the events in the second movie, ignoring the other sequels that followed.

Paramount Pictures and Skydance is wetting out collective pallets once again with the release of new character posters which feature Arnie and Hamilton as well as new stars Mackenzie Davis and Natalia Reyes. Judgment Day was inevitable, at least until it wasn’t. In Terminator 2, Sarah Connor and her son, John, achieved a victory over the machines thanks to the sacrifice of a heroic T-800. However, the war was never truly over for Sarah, and she’s still fighting nearly three decades later.

Tim Miller (Deadpool) helms the latest entry with franchise creator James Cameron returning to produce.

Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger return to their iconic roles and they are joined by new comers Mackenzie Davis as Grace who is a cyborg soldier from the future, Natalia Reyes who plays Dani Ramos, the new target of the machines and Gabriel Luna, the new and most lethal Terminator yet. At SDCC, it was announced that Edward Furlong is returning as John Connor as well.
