Chris Evans might have officially given up the mantle of Captain America in the MCU but the star is keeping himself rather busy and he is now headlining a new and tense real life thriller called THE RED SEA DIVING RESORT. Evans plays one of many who risked their lives to save countless Ethiopian refugees in 1979. A new trailer and poster has dropped for the film and you can check it out below!
Inspired by remarkable true life rescue missions, THE RED SEA DIVING RESORT is the incredible story of a group of international agents and brave Ethiopians who in the early 80s used a deserted holiday retreat in Sudan as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees to Israel. The undercover team carrying out this mission is led by the charismatic Ari Levinson (Chris Evans) and courageous local Kabede Bimro (Michael Kenneth Williams). The prestigious cast also includes Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman, Chris Chalk, Greg Kinnear and Ben Kingsley.
The film was helmed by Gideon Raff who also pennedthe script, and Raff is responsible for the Israeli TV series Prisoners Of War that was eventually adapted for American audiences with Showtime’s Homeland.
THE RED SEA DIVING RESORT releases on Netflix this month on July 31st!
