OK, now in regards to a new entry in The Expendables franchise, I have been somewhat cautious about sharing any news about it because it usually doesn’t turn into anything. If you’ve followed my posts on my old site, then you will know that it’s like crying wolf anymore.

Which leads us to this juicy bit of info which comes from Sly himself. Yes he’s at it again folks. It seems that Stallone just recently posted a photo of him on Instagram as his character of Barney Ross from the epic franchise with the news that he’s officially working on a new installment (insert grain of salt here). Check out the post directly below!

In the post, Stallone states, “All those July 4th fireworks got my mind going! I’m starting to cook up the next adventure!” So there you have it folks. Stallone has admitted that he’s “cooking up the next adventure” so let’s sure the Hell hope it turns into something this time.

As all you action fanatics know, The Expendables is the action franchise that has featured some of the greatest action giants in history such as Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The first film came out in 2010 while the sequels dropped in 2012 and 2014 respectively. The last film was a commercial failure here in the States but it did make bank overseas. Fans have been clamoring for another entry and for it to be bad ass. The franchise has amassed over $800 million at the world wide box office so that’s some pretty impressive coin.

Stallone has gone back and fourth on whether he would do another one so at this point it’s anybody’s guess but this new post sure is intriguing.

With this news, speculation will run rampant on who should be in the new film with names like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen just being some of the heavyweights that are being thrown into the rumor mill.

I will surely keep my eye on this and I sure hope we get one last hard R rated adventure with Barney Ross and company. Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action!

Let us not forget that Stallone will return as the iconic John J. Rambo on September 20th when Rambo: Last Blood hits theaters.

While we wait for more details, indulge yourself with the epic finale from the director’s cut of the original film down below!
