The Long Awaited Video Game Reboot Gets the Green Light for a September Production Start!

While I was on vacation, word came down that Warner Bros. was finally moving ahead with the long gestating MORTAL KOMBAT reboot and that AQUAMAN helmer James Wan was set to produce.
The best selling video game franchise was made into two films in the 90’s with the original starring Robin Shou, Christopher Lambert, Linden Ashby, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Bridgette Wilson and Talisa Soto. The first film was definitely better than the second but both featured some nifty fight choreography.
New word today is that the reboot is now scheduled to begin filming this September in Australia with award winning commercial director Simon McQuoid making his directorial debut.
No word yet on a cast but I’m sure fans all have their lists of must haves. Me personally, I want Scott Adkins in it in any male lead role.
The film is set for release on March 15th, 2021!
Sound off below and let us know your thoughts on who should be in it! Stay tuned!!!
