Godzilla Minus zero sees the most iconic onscreen movie monster of all time return and he looks glorious. With the sequel’s first prolonged look, we get official confirmation that there is indeed another Kaiju threat, and everyone is saying that it’s none other than…well, I’ll let you see for yourself. The globally beloved monster returns to movie theater screens reaching greater and more terrifying heights, making GODZILLA MINUS ZERO a true cinematic event not to be missed.
Academy Award winner and prolific Japanese director Takashi Yamazaki returns to direct once again and if the first film won an Oscar for best visual effects, the subsequent sequel looks to do an encore.
TRAILER TACTICAL REACTION: After two awesome but super swift teasers, we finally get a lengthier look at the sequel, and it rocks with some of the best Godzilla footage ever. Is it bad to get excited to see the return of a monster who wreaks havoc on humanity? Well, I am and my inner ten-year-old is screaming as the King rips it old school and looks fantastic. We also get the hint of another Kaiju in our midst and it’s pretty much a guarantee on who it is as we hear a little of the iconic sound from said iconic Kaiju. Is Godzilla playing good this time around? Is the new threat the good one or are they both bad to the bone? We will have to wait and see but the trailer looks epic and that shot of the plane ripping through the air looks glorious and I cannot wait to see it in IMAX as this is the first Godzilla flick to be shot for the special screen and he’ll never look better. Whover loses, we all win and Godzilla is back and bigger and badder than ever. The synopsis says this is the last time, but we all know the truth when it comes to that. Hail to the KING baby!
