There are a few certainties in life. Some being that we must pay taxes. We will eventually leave this earth and, above all, an action movie from filmmaker William Kaufman will rock the house with bombastic, tactical, grounded action that kicks ample amounts of ass on every level. The latter is what I am here to properly pump up as his latest offering once known as Nightingale is coming soon and is now titled appropriately enough Man of War. From his breakout indie film The Prodigy to cult classics including Sinners and Saints and Daylight’s End and last year’s blistering sci-fi action epic Osiris, Kaufman has forever cemented himself as one of the elite go to filmmakers when you want your action movie to sizzle with complete chaos, carnage and Tactical Armageddon (I’m copyrighting that term BTW).
Man of War hits this Friday on Digital and Kaufman returns to talk about the new film including the breakout action star performance of LaMonica Garrett. We also delve into the action sequences that serve up a visceral, feverish and kinetic tactical brilliance. This is one of the top contenders for best action film of 2026 and it’s time to jock up and go down range with one of the best the action cinema industry has to offer.
It’s filmmaker and action maestro William Kaufman talking Man of War on The Action Fix with John Jerva! ENJOY!
