If you’re a fan of the long running Sniper franchise that started with Tome Berenger and has seen continued success with Chad Michael Collins, Australia has you covered as well with a new sniper infused action pic called Seven Snipers. Radha Mitchell leads a fantastic ensemble including Ryan Kwanten, Ioan Gruffudd and Tim Roth. Mitchell is all business and business is good as a retired spec ops sniper who must assemble her elite team when her daughter is threatened by an old foe. A new trailer dropped online a few days ago so scroll below for the one shot/one kill!
Official Synopsis: “Seven Snipers follows former elite sniper Kris Hendricks, a deadly marksman forced out of hiding when the ruthless warlord known as “The Dragon” (Roth) tracks her down,” the official synopsis reads. “Once his captive, Hendricks must now draw on every skill she possesses to protect the daughter she has raised far from the violence of her past.”

Sandra Sciberras (The Dustwalker) helms the film from a screenplay penned by Andrew O’Keefe. The rest of the cast includes Annabel Wolfe, AACTA winner Lee Tiger Halley, Charles Cottier and Damien Ryan. Sciberras also serves as producer along with Tristan Barr, Grant Hardie, Ian Kirk, Phil Hunt and Compton Ross.

Australia is really leading a charge in action cinema as of late with sensational martial arts thrillers like Bren Foster’s Life After Fighting and a new actioner called Unseen Enemy so Seven Snipers looks to continue that trend of releasing full-throttle, bullet blasting sniper action to the fold. With a surefire cast and taut action sequences, Seven Snipers looks as advertised and is ready to click the boxes for genre fans.
Seven Snipers Hits Australian cinemas on April 30th so expect an international rollout soon!
