Hot trailers are hitting this week and with the highly anticipated first look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day set to drop on Wednesday, Warner Bros. has set things in motion first. The epic conclusion to Dune is at hand this December and with that, we have our first glimpse at the finale that promises to be epic in every detail. Dune: Part Three is based on the novel Dune: Messiah and the climax looks to rival The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King when it comes to the best trilogies ever in modern cinema. Scroll below for the first look!
The plot is still MIA right now but the novel’s synopsis reads “Dune Messiah continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known-and feared-as the man christened Muad’Dib. As Emperor of the Known Universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield. Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremens, Paul faces the enmity of the political houses he displaced when he assumed the throne-and a conspiracy conducted within his own sphere of influence. And even as House Atreides begins to crumble around him from the machinations of his enemies, the true threat to Paul comes to his lover, Chani, and the unborn heir to his family’s dynasty.”
Prolific filmmaker Denis Villeneuve helms once again with Timothy Chalamet and Zendaya returning as Paul Atreides and Chani respectively. The star-studded cast inclused Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Robert Pattinson as Scytale, Isaach de Bankolé as Farok, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides. Although his character met his demise in the last film, Jason Momoa’s Duncan Idaho (love that name) is also back to kick some righteous ass.
Character posters hit yesterday in anticipation of the new trailer, and you can see the gravitas fueled new looks below!

As of now, Dunesday is still happening as Dune: Part Three is set to compete with Avengers: Doomsday on December 18th of this year. This could be the most ultimate game of release window chicken we have ever seen and if there is no switching between now and them this could prove to be more epic than Barbenheimer. We shall see but this is awesome to say the least.
