Mark Wahlberg is one of the hardest working men in cinema as well as everything else the entrepreneur tackles. Along with all the accolades Wahlberg has masses during his career, action star is certainly one of them as he has starred in several adrenaline-fueled flicks like Shooter, 2 Guns, Mile 22 and most recently Flight Risk where he was lightning in a bottle as an unhinged killer.
For his latest bullet filled thriller, Wahlberg is bringing his swagger and bravado to filmmaker Shane Black’s newest project which is Play Dirty. Looking to restore some retro buddy action vibes, Wahlberg teams up with LaKeith Stanfield (Knives Out) in a full throttle heist pic that looks to leave the audience breathless upon viewing. Check out the new trailer below!
An expert thief rolls out the biggest heist of his life in Play Dirty, an action-packed thriller from director Shane Black. Parker (Mark Wahlberg), along with Grofield (LaKeith Stanfield), Zen (Rosa Salazar) and a skilled crew, stumble onto a score that pits them against the New York mob in this gritty, clever caper.
Starring Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Rosa Salazar, Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff with Thomas Jane and Tony Shalhoub

I know Black has taken some heat as of late, especially for The Predator which I did find myself enjoying, but I think he’s a solid filmmaker and this one looks fun and action-packed with some chemistry to spare between Wahlberg and Stanfield. After all, you can’t deny that Black is responsible for writing some of the most iconic action films ever including the Lethal Weapon franchise as well as The Nice Guys and The Last Boy Scout which happens to be one of my favorites, all-time Bruce Willis action films. Black co-wrote the script as well directed this one.
The only drawback here is that Play Dirty isn’t hitting theaters but is premiering on Prime Video but I don’t discriminate there either as I feel the Extraction films with Chris Hemsworth are some of the best actioners to date even though they didn’t play in the cinema.
