Mostly known for his quick quips and spot on and unforgiving humor, actor and comedian Kevin James is switching things up and going bloody tactical for his latest in Guns Up. Also starring the always game Christina Ricci, this one still harbors a lot of dark comedy but it’s all about the bullets and Mafioso bravado here. Peek below for James doing his anti-hero thing!
A family-man moonlighting as a henchman for the mob has one night to get his family out of the city – and keep his dark secret hidden – after a job goes horribly wrong.
Also starring genre favorites Luis Guzmán (KEANU) who was also last seen I. HAVOC and Melissa Leo (THE EQUALIZER trilogy), Guns Up was helmed by Edward Drake (the DETECTIVE KNIGHT franchise with Bruce Willis),and it looks entertaining in a blunt force blow to the head fun kind of way. James is essentially what he always is but now he’s a ruthless and ferocious killing machine that is also a phenomenal family man. We also get the usual John Wick references and comparisons here like we always do but it’s all part of why we watch these flicks.
