Jack Kesy is flying under the radar when it comes to action cinema and to date, the actor’s biggest role came as he played the most recent version of Hell Boy in Hell Boy: The Crooked Man. That film was a definite change up from the other previous films about the popular graphic novel character and was hailed as a bold reimagining as the smaller production brought a more grounded and brutal horror vibe.
Jack Kesy is back and this time he’s going full on action star mode for his latest assassin pic Bang where he plays a seasoned killer who wants out of the life after a near death experience. The only problem is that his employers are not keen to the idea and a blood drenched war ensues with Kesy in the crosshairs. Kesy has some massive backup in the supporting cast field for this one as none other than RoboCop himself Peter Weller is bringing his battle-hardened gravitas to the proceedings. Check out the new trailer and key art below!
Bang, one of the most feared hitmen, questions his violent life after a near-death experience. Seeing a future beyond bloodshed, he wants out—but his crime boss won’t let go without a fight.

Kesy certainly has the look, the swagger and the physical traits to pull off these kinds of roles so it’ll be interesting to see if the actor goes for more of these in the future or continues to take on more dangerous roles in the future. From the above trailer, Kesy certainly looks comfortable running and gunning as the footage supplies ample chaos and bloodshed so we shall see when it hits. The plot has been done to death but if the action hits the target, I can always be a forgiving critic. The title is genius though as it just screams gunfire and explosions.
Action auteur Wych Kaosayananda helms the pic from a script co-penned by Peter M. Lenkov and Ken Solarz. Tristin Mays, Marie Broenner, Steve Bastoniand and fellow martial arts/action star Kane Kosugi also star. Kaosayananda, who is more affectionately known as simply Kaos, is no stranger to action having directed the previous thrillers Ballistic: Ecks VS. Sever which I am a fan of. Kaos has also collaborated with Kosugi before on Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge as well as with icon Mark Dacascos on One Night in Bangkok and The Driver.
