Ah yes, there is nothing like a Bollywood action film. Where else can viewers worldwide watch super cool actors throwdown in the most insane ways possible as they execute the most death defying stunts all while looking damn good doing it?
With that, I give you the latest in a long line of Bollywood bombastic spectacles with the new trailer for the sequel War 2. Starring in this excess of bullets, beatdown and high profile vehicle warfare are Hrithik Roshan (Fighter) and N.T. Rama Rao Junior (RRR), who is best known as simply NTR Jr.
The synopsis per iMDB: Major Kabir Dhaliwal returns to combat a new threat to the nation in a perilous undercover mission.
The plot (not that it matters) is insignificant as our two leads battle each other in cars, boats, trains and even in an ice cave. It’s completely ridiculous and awesome all at the same time. I love how the wind machines blow their expertly combed hair as explosions erupt all around them and there’s dancing numbers to boot! What more could you want?
Roshan also starred in the original War along with other famed Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff. The latter is not involved this time so NTR Jr is filling in hot off the success of RRR which crushed it in theaters worldwide.
Ayan Mukerji helms the pic for India’s Yash Raj Films and also stars Kiara Advani.
War 2 is set to hit Indian theaters on August 14, to coincide with India’s Independence Day which is the same day. Don’t worry though as worldwide distribution is right around the corner. You can bet on it!
