I’ve been itching for a good Western for a long time as the subgenre has been stagnant for years, but things are looking up with the new trailer for a totally batshit crazy looking period shoot ’em up featuring an all-star genre cast including Stephen Dorff, Costas Mandylor, one of Stallone’s daughters and the one and only Nicolas Cage doing Nicolas Cage things with a voice that has to be heard. The man is welcomed in any film and looks to get down and dirty here. Strap on those six shooters, grab your horse and ten-gallon hat and let’s do this!

Directed by Brian Skiba, who I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing in the past, Gunslingers looks like his finest hour with bullet ravaged action and gunslinging theatrics that haven’t been seen for a long while. I’m all in and am ready for the six-barrel carnage.
