Once touted as a major mystery project between Hollywood A lister Michael B. Jordan and his Black Panther and Creed helmer Ryan Coogler, the genre bending period thriller Sinners is ready to take a bite out of the box office this April. Jordan does full on Double Impact duties here as he takes on dual roles as twin brothers battling a demonic evil plaguing the world. When the project was under wraps, major studios were still excited beyond all to grab up this film with Warner Bros. eventually taking lead when the dust settled. Googler also penned the script, and it is being described as agenre infusing thriller that is equal parts genre flick and period piece. Whatever the case, it looks ultra-rad with Jordan establishing himself as both hero and anti-hero with his twin roles. Throw in demonic forces and massive firepower and fans will likely gravitate towards this one upon release.
Jordan stars along with a sensational cast that includes Jack O’Connell (Unbroken), Delroy Lindo (Get Shorty), Wunmi Mosaku (Loki), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit), Omar Benson Miller (CSI: Miami), Jayme Lawson (The Batman), Lola Kirke (Mozart in the Jungle), and Li Jun Li (The Exorcist TV series).
