We’ll Go USA has unveiled a limited theatrical run this new year for Donnie Yen’s courtroom thriller loaded with fists of fury The Prosecutor. After hitting Chinese cinemas with a collective bang this month, North American audiences fortunate enough to have the movie play near them will get the opportunity to see Yen dazzle with his signature martial arts action design. Check out the new U.S. trailer and key art below!
SYNOPSIS
A young man is charged with drug trafficking. He pleads guilty under undue influence from his defense lawyer, in exchange for a reduced sentence. Hard-edged former cop Fok (Donnie Yen) is the unconventional prosecutor assigned to the case. He becomes convinced that the conviction is unusual and decides to conduct his own investigation. Fok is forced to risk his own life and career to uncover the truth and bring the real villains to justice.

The Prosecutor will certainly light cinemas on fire this January and judging from the above new preview, we can all believe Yen when he says that he doesn’t accept anything less than his best. Filled with blistering action design, some pretty rad Call of Duty style first person POV action and some wild practical stunt work that has Yen’s stamp of brilliance on it, this one looks like it will check all the boxes and fire on all cylinders.
Hopefully, this one reaches a cinema near me as I missed out at Tony Jaa’s return to form in Striking Rescue. I would have loved to have seen a little of that throwback Muay Thai mayhem on the big screen so here’s hoping for a wider release for Yen’s mastery of modern day action cinema.
When an innocent man is wrongly convicted, it falls to a determined former prosecutor to obtain justice in THE PROSECUTOR, available in select theaters January 10 from Well Go USA. Action icon Donnie Yen (John Wick: Chapter 4) directs and stars in this brutal revenge story about a former prosecutor determined to exact justice. With explosive martial arts reminiscent of Yen’s work in John Wick and Ip Man, this is an action lover’s dream.

Donnie Yen is Awesome. His martial arts movies is spectacular. I hope it comes to Oklahoma theaters!!
