This month sees the release in China of Donnie Yen’s latest modern action flick The Prosecutor which promises signature Donnie action design wrapped in a heavy handed dramatic synopsis. Yen is a living legend in action cinema at this point and the star is still looking phenomenal as he is blistering in this latest trailer to help promote the film along with a batch of character posters. Donnie Yen is out of order and fans can’t wait to see the devastation left in his wake as his fists of fury are camera ready once again!
Ho Pong Mak (the Breakout Brothers trilogy) is in the director’s chair for this one with Kang Yu (Wu Xia, Big Brother) and Julian Cheung (All U Need is Love, The Grandmaster) rounding out the supporting cast. The Prosecutor is a Mandarin Motion Pictures and China’s Huace Pictures’ release.
The Prosecutor will certainly light cinemas on fire this Christmas and judging from the above new preview, we can all believe Yen when he says that he doesn’t accept anything less than his best. Filled with blistering action design, some pretty rad Call of Duty style first person POV action and some wild practical stunt work that has Yen’s stamp of brilliance in it, this one looks like it will check all the boxes and fire on all cylinders.
