It looks like action star/filmmaker and former bodybuilding champion Alexander Nevsky has been bitten heavily by the western genre bug as he is readying to star in yet another action western after he has appeared in the throwback style franchise Gunfight at Rio Bravo and the upcoming yet to be released Taken from Rio Bravo. Nevsky is set to star in the new western The Wide West and this time he’s recruited some heavy action firepower to star along with him and when I say heavy, I mean HEAVY! John Wick: Chapter 4 co-star Hiroki Sumi, who also happens to be a legit Sumo champion, is centering the ring along with Nevsky for the adrenaline and guns blazing flick which doesn’t have an official plot synopsis as of yet but Nevsky likens it to the classic western Red Sun which starred action legends Charles Bronson and Toshirô Mifune. Scroll below for exclusive images of Nevsky, Sumi and director Joe Cornet and the official press release of The Wide West!
