Aaron Eckhart is really racking up the action cinema cred this year and into 2024 with his latest offering The Bricklayer. Eckhart plays a lone operative who must battle an international conspiracy when foreign forces blackmail the CIA. This one comes to us from action auteur Renny Harlin who has given us multiple action films that have stood the test of time like Die Hard 2 with Willis and Cliffhanger with Stallone. Check out Eckhart as he goes all out below!
From turns as the president in the first two Has Fallen movies to more recent fare like Muzzle and the upcoming Change of Station, Eckhart is one serious threat as he can act along with getting physical. He’s got that certain Steve McQueen appeal if you ask me as he can communicate without saying a word.
Eckhart stars along with Nina Dobrev who is best known for starring in the hit series The Vampire Diaries as well as a role in Vin Diesel’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
The Bricklayer sees Eckhart plays an elite CIA operative who must put his retirement on hold when a mysterious enemy is framing America’s covert agency turning the world against them.

This one has the look and feel of Statham’s upcoming actioner The Beekeeper as where Eckhart is now retired and working as a bricklayer before he is ushered back into service. Substitute beekeeping for Statham and there you go. What kicks ass here is that Eckhart uses the tools of that craft to eliminate any threats with some fierce extreme prejudice so well done Harlin. Make no mistake, this one looks top notch just like The Stath’s newest film so keep both on your radar.
The Bricklayer hits theaters and digitally on Jan. 5, 2024 courtesy of Vertical entertainment.
