Ok, I don’t know if it’s all the stuff I’ve been through over the last few months or what but I’m really looking for some nostalgic vibes and Netflix has served up my most anticipated one yet as they dropped the teaser trailer for the long awaited Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F which sees Eddie Murphy back as the wisecracking, take no shit Detroit police detective who’s back on the streets after all these years.
After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy.
What makes this fourth outing looking great is the fact that it clearly looks miles better than the third film and oozes the vibes of the first two movies. Also having all the familiar faces back, including Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot, this time truly helps. Kevin Bacon joining the franchise is really stellar as well.
This teaser relies a lot on the action which looks Michael Bay worthy but I’m sure they’re saving Murphy‘s iconic attitude and humor for the future.
