Things have really dried up in Hollywood due to the ongoing strike but we still have some beacons of hope to cling onto that will satisfy our need for killer genre entertainment. It looks like indie cinema and some TV series that were already filmed prior will be our salvation in these troubling times and we have a doozy of an update regarding one highly anticipated series.
It would appear that the Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures Monsterverse series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is due to drop sooner than later. The show showcases events after the initial destruction of San Francisco due to Godzilla’s reign of fire while battling evil Titans and it is said that the King of Monsters will have a substantial role in the series as well! There’s an all-star cast to boot that features not one but two Russells!
The series which already includes Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and a Netflix ANIME series titled Skull Island is a substantial franchise so this show has a lot to live up too but including our main lizard is a definite draw so hopefully they’ll be surprises along the way.
First look images of Godzilla and series stars Kurt Russel and his son Wyatt who star together have surfaced online along with a synopsis of what to expect. Check out the fresh new images below!

The official synopsis reads: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.
The series stars Kurt and Wyatt Russell along with Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski.
I’ve been a huge fan of Godzilla and the Kaiju since I was young so it’s needless to say I’m stoked for this so bring it on. It’s important to note Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard is currently working on another sequel that will unite Godzilla and Kong once again to face another gargantuan Titan threat. The next entry is called Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and a teaser did drop a while back.
A series launch date is forthcoming so LOCK N LOAD right here for future Intel to hit or stomp as the case may be because we are your destination for everything action!!!
