When one thinks of action, actor Emil Hirsch doesn’t usually come to mind as an action star. The actor has quietly built up a filmography of adrenaline including the almost perfect military thriller Lone Survivor along with other titles including Pursuit, Never Grow Old, and The Darkest Hour.
Hirsch is tacking up once again for the new terrorist action-thriller The Engineer and here he’s playing an ex-Mossad agent who assembled an elite unit of agents and mercenaries to track down the extremists responsible for a deadly bombing in Israel. SYNOPSIS
In the vein of “Homeland” and “Fauda” comes this pulse-pounding action-thriller based on true events and starring Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) and Tzahi Halevi (Bethlehem). As Israel is rocked by a series of terrorist bombings, a U.S. senator’s daughter is killed in a bloody explosion.
