Reacher star Alan Ritchson is putting that particular skill set he uses in the hit Amazon Prime series to good use in his new action-thriller Motor City from filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov. Ritchson is fast developing into the next big thing in action and along with Reacher, he’s going to be cleaning house in one awesome and brutal sounding movie. Black Bear Pictures has unveiled that the physically imposing star has enlisted to star in the vengeance laced thriller from Timur Bekmambetov, who is the director of such hyper-violent action pics such as Wanted and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Check out the fist hitting details from the production company below along with a teaser image of Ritchson from the FAST X which he will next be seen in! I think the picture could be used for Motor City as well as it’s a great image of Ritchson.

According to Black Bear International, in Motor City, “Ritchson will play John Miller, a Detroit man released from prison, who unleashes a rampage of brutal vengeance on those who framed him. The Detroit-set film will be characterized by immersive visual storytelling, with stunningly choreographed and stylized action sequences.”
Bekmambetov talked about the project and the excitement behind it, “We have an incredible script that takes us into a gruesomely dark world. I’m thrilled to bring this story to life on the big screen. With the help of our amazing cast and the talented production team, we’re poised to create a cinematic spectacle.”
Executive Producer John Friedberg added, “I love this script, it’s incredibly exciting and fast-paced and will be just the sort of distinctive action movie that audiences around the world are looking for. And having recently worked with Alan and seen what he is capable of, he is clearly going to be the next heavyweight action star.”
Ritchson has used his Reacher relationship with Amazon Studios by signing an exclusive three-picture film deal for acting in projects. He will also be seen in this month’s Fast X, and the Reacher star is also set to star in the Lionsgate drama Ordinary Angels which headlines Oscar winner Hilary Swank. Ritchson will also be starring in Black Bear International’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which is an epic war drama starring Henry Cavill, Eiza Gonzalez, and is helmed by celebrated director Guy Ritchie.
