Fans are getting their full share of the great Donnie Yen this weekend as he takes on Baba Yaga in the fourth and apparent final entry of John Wick franchise (at least for now). While that film showcases the action/martial arts icon in all his glory in present day, his Chinese Wuxia epic Sakra has been killing it in China. Yen’s first directorial effort in two decades is set to take a bow next month and we have the new footage. Check out the period action of Well Go USA’s official trailer as they are bringing the film to the US. Enjoy.

The epic wuxia actioner is based on Jin Yong’s 1963 novel, Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils and boasts the gravity defying fight sequences as you’d expect.
Based on the classic wuxia novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils by Louis Cha (known worldwide by his pen name Jin Yong), SAKRA stars Donnie Yen as Qiao Feng, the respected leader of a roving band of martial artists. After he is wrongfully accused of murder and subsequently exiled, Qiao Feng goes on the run in search of answers about his own mysterious origin story—and the unknown enemies working to destroy him from the shadows.
Helmed by Kam Ka Wai & Donnie Yen, the film also stars Chen Yuqi, Cya Liu, Wai Ying Hung and Wu Yue. The movie will enjoy a limited release in cinemas before kicking it on home video, so check out the latest North American trailer below!!!
