Actually, I thought Lundgren would play the heavy so it was a kick ass surprise to see that he was a good guy. (Original Post) We have some traction finally on the new action pic The Best Man which sees Dolph Lundgren, Luke Wilson and some of his spec ops buddies going up against a crew of heavily armed Mercs. If you’re going to crash a wedding for nefarious reasons, make sure the groom’s wedding party aren’t highly trained warriors with a kill ratio. Bullets , explosions and fisticuffs guaranteed. Official Synopsis

Luke Wilson and Dolph Lundgren star in this pulse-pounding, action-packed thriller. When a team of ruthless mercenaries violently seize control of a remote resort hotel, former Special Ops soldiers attending their best friend’s wedding must rely only on their wits and training to combat the terrorists and save the hostages held for ransom.”

This one looks like a good time and it comes from an idea from indie action filmmaker Daniel Zirilli who serves as a producer. I’m eager to see first look footage and see how the action sequences look. C. Alec Rossel and Shane Dax Taylor penned the script with Taylor helming the pic as well.

Additional cast members include Brendan Fehr, Nicky Whelan, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Scott Martin.
