(UPDATE) PLANE: Gerard Butler & Mike Colter Must Survive More than a Crash in the New Trailer for the Upcoming Action Pic!

Update: The New Trailer has dropped for Lionsgate’s all new action-thriller Plane which sees Gerard Butler and Mike Colter looking to set aside their differences when the plane they are on crashes. Having survived that particular ordeal is only the beginning as they must battle ruthless rebels. Check out the new footage below!

(Original Post) New key art has surfaced for the new Gerard Butler action pic Plane which has him teaming up with Luke Cage himself Mike Colter. Both stars are featured prominently on the poster which you can check out!

Official Synopsis:
Brodie Torrance saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island – only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare, an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. In order to rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.

This one looks like a return to form for Butler after the disappointing Last Seen Alive. Plane was helmed by Jean-François Richet (Blood Father). Butler also has Kandahar and the highly anticipated follow up to Den of Thieves as just two of the many projects that he’s involved in. Unfortunately, I don’t think we are going to see his Mike Bannon return anytime soon.

From viewing the trailer, it’s a good thing that both Butler and Colter are on this flight for the survivors as Butler is one bad ass pilot and Colter is, well let’s just say Colter is a federal prisoner with some pretty lethal skills. The trailer is packed with some pretty decent R rated kills and there’s machine gun galore combined with brutal CQB action. This definitely looks better than Last Seen Alive. Hell, this trailer alone is better than that movie.

Plane was helmed by Jean-François Richet who also directed the Assault on Precinct 13 remake as well as the brutal Mel Gibson action-thriller Blood Father so this one is in good hands. Keep it locked and loaded right here for more on this one as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!
