SDCC 2022: SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS- The 1st Trailer Makes its Grand Debut at the Event!

Along with The Rock bringing the second trailer for Black Adam, the Warner Bros. panel also gave fans their first look at the sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Lucy Liu, and director David F. Sandberg were all in attendance at Hall H to show off a sizzle reel along with the long-awaited new trailer and none of the footage disappointed in the least. Check out the new tease below!

Shazam! Fury of the Gods will see the host of returning actors from the first movie along with Zacary Levi. The cast includes Asher Angel as Billy Batson along with Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Freddy; Faithe Herman and Meagan Good as Darla; Ian Chen and Ross Bulter as Eugene; Grace Fulton as Mary; Jovan Arman and D.J. Cotrona as Pedro; Marta Milans, and Cooper Andrews. Djimon Hounsou is also back as the wizard Shazam who is responsible for giving Billy his unique set of powerful gifts. New additions for the sequel include Helen Mirren and Kill Bill’s Lucy Liu.

The new film will see the Shazam family facing off against an even more severe threat after they were victorious in battling Sivana and the Seven Deadly Sins. Mirren and Liu will be portraying the daughters of Atlas who are Hespera, and Kalypso and they will be giving our heroes all they can handle.
